In the aftermath, the founders of HudsonAnalytix, played a key role in the response, gaining critical expertise that informs the company’s spill response services today.
Meanwhile, in Bermuda, U.S. regulators and the shipping industry sought insurance innovators to underwrite OPA 90 COFR guarantees, covering cleanup costs up to $500 million. Shoreline Ltd was among the first to accept this responsibility, ensuring international vessels could continue trading to the U.S.
