Chairman
Simon has been on the bridge of Shoreline since shortly after it commenced operations over three decades ago. He has extensive insurance experience and has held various senior management positions in the industry. Furthermore, he established, and was actively involved, in the rapid growth of two captive insurance management businesses. Simon is also a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
President
Cynthia founded HudsonAnalytix in 1986 to provide emergency response, project management, and consulting services to the maritime industry. As CEO for nearly four decades, she has led the company’s expansion into a recognized leader in OPA 90 compliance and marine risk management services.
Managing Partner
Captain Brown was appointed CEO of Shoreline in September 2018. A qualified foreign-going Master Mariner, he sailed in all ranks up to Chief Officer before transitioning to marine insurance. He spent seven years with the North of England P&I Association before founding Seacurus Ltd in 2004, an independent insurance brokerage and specialty MGA. He has a reputation for innovation in marine insurance and developing products to address emerging risks for shipowners.
Managing Partner
Marc Smith, Master Unlimited Oceans, served as HudsonAnalytix’s COO, overseeing day-to-day operations and leading long-term strategic initiatives. Marc’s 39 years of experience in commercial shipping has strengthened the unique perspective and depth of diverse knowledge and expertise that the Hudson team leverages to provide clients with the highest quality of maritime risk solutions.
Chief Financial Officer
Gayan joined Shoreline in 2008 and he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in 2014. He is an extremely experienced Chartered Accountant, with an insurance focus. Prior to joining Shoreline, he has held various positions at PwC, DFCC Bank and KPMG. Gayan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom) and an Associate of Institute of Chartered Accountants (Sri Lanka).
